Albania (Shqipëria,

the Republic of Albania - Republika e Shqipërisë) - country in south-eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Adriatic Sea. Bordered by Greece (282 km), Macedonia (151 km) and Kosovo (114 km) and Montenegro (173 km). Albania is bordered to the west of the Adriatic Sea and Ionian Sea in the southwest. From Italy Otranto strait separates it a width of about 72 km. The total length of land borders is 720 km while the sea coast - 362 km. Albania is a member of the UN, NATO, OSCE, Council of Europe, WTO, and is one of the founders of the Union for the Mediterranean.
